Welcome our New IC Staff; a Fond Farewell to Others
Virginie Maton, a familiar friendly face and voice at the IC front desk, moved with her family back to Europe in February. We wish Virginie and her family all the best.
Kea Herron moved from the Chemistry Department to replace Virginie. Kea has worked extensively with the international community in various roles and various places. She speaks Haitian Creole, Spanish, French. We are very excited to have her on the IC team.
Alejandra Guzman, yet another friendly face you may have met at the IC front desk in the past 6 months, has also moved on to other exciting opportunities. We also wish Alejandra the best.
Dyna Rene joins us as our new Office Assistant, replacing Alejandra. Dyna (pronounced Dee-nah), is originally from Haiti. She speaks Haitian Creole and French. A warm welcome to Dyna!
And, finally, we bid adieu to our Assistant Director for Programs and Development, Mafe Brooks. Mafe has been with the IC for 10 inspired years, developing cultural and educational programs for international students/staff and their families. Beginning April 20th, Mafe will continue to work with the university, but as a Development Officer for the Alumni Foundation. Good luck and all the best to Mafe.
