Artist' Statement
"I like playing with colors. I learned Korean traditional painting. Korean traditional painting utilizes pigment and Indian ink with glue and water. I also received some instruction in the Sumi-e technique. Sumi-e utilizes ink and brush in a monotone format. But most of works I’ve done here are acrylic. In terms of subject matter, objects sometimes don’t mean anything in my painting. Colors and tones mirror myself or my feelings."
